Quantity Surveyor

Location: Athurugiriya, Colombo
Experience required: 3+ years

Job responsibilities:
1. Preparation of client quotations with proper breakdowns and clarity.
2. Strong knowledge of various procurement methods and strategies.
3. Ability to read and interpret all types of technical drawings accurately.
4. Attention to detail when taking off measurements and preparing boqs.
5. Accurate estimates of costs, resources, and time for project completion.
6. Evaluation of projects, emphasizing benchmarking and project management improvement (ipa).
7. Integrated approach to project control processes (cost, schedule, performance) to keep projects on track.
8. Preparation of cost value reconciliation through expense tracking, cost forecasting, and corrective actions (cvr).
9. Proficiency in bim-based workflows and digital take-off solutions.
10. Ensure accuracy and consistency in project documentation and reporting.

Required qualifications:
1. A recognized certification or qualification in quantity surveying or a related discipline.
2. A solid understanding of the principles and practices in quantity surveying.
3. Ability to effectively work with modern digital tools and software applications related to qs and project management.
4. A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in quantity surveying.
5. Experience in middle east projects would be a plus.
